UTEP women’s golf Lily Downs was named to the All-Conference USA Third team as announced the league office Tuesday morning.
“I’m very proud of what Lily has been able to accomplish here,” UTEP head coach Jere Pelletier said. “ She’s one of the best players to come through the program and her career just validates the hard working person that she is.”
Downs put the final touches on her senior season with seven top-10 finishes and led the team with six top place finishes. The lone senior posted a stroke average of 73.0 over 10 tournaments. She helped guide the Miners to a team high four tournament wins, including three consecutive.
The Kirklevington, Yarm, U.K. native, earned a season-high tie for third place at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert (Sept. 29-30) shooting 4-over par 220.
