Local Soccer Players Selected for National Showcases

Four local soccer standouts will be putting on a show for national coaches this Spring.

All-City Player Love’ Tovar, along with Delaney Valenzuela and Yoshi Rubalcava will play this March 16-18, 2018 in front of 250 College Coaches with Houston’s Rise Soccer Club at the upcoming Players Showcase in Las Vegas.

Tovar, who will be playing with the Rise SC 00’ Elite Team., also plays club soccer  with Galacticas FC Select 00’ and also attends & plays with the Del Valle HS Women’s soccer team. Valenzuela, who attends Harmony Science Academy, will be playing with Rise SC 01’ Elite Team; and plays club soccer with Cosmos FC Soccer Academy 01’ & Galacticas FC Select 00’ Teams.

Rubalcava, a student Paso Del Norte Middle School, will be playing with Rise SC 04’ Elite Team, and plays with the Cosmos FC 04G Team. Yoshi recently selected and attended the U.S. Club Soccer / NIKE ID2 Development Program Camp in Arizona this past December.

Additionally, El Paso’s own Rocky Perez Jr. – son of former UTEP QB Rocky Perez – has been called up to the U.S. U15 Boys National Team Camp.

Rocky played with Cosmos FC for 6 years part of the 04’ Boys Team & now resides in San Antonio, TX.
