“2016 has been an exciting year for STEM programs at Loretto Academy. Our All-Girls Middle and High School Robotics teams are headed to the FIRST international competition in St. Louis, MO later this month. We have seen an increase in STEM interest across all students and are excited to welcome Lockheed Martin to our campus. We hope they will bring awareness to different opportunities for women and minorities in STEM,” said Sister Buffy Boesen, president of Loretto Academy.
The Lockheed Martin visit will begin at 12:40 p.m. and end at 3:40 p.m. The company representatives will visit Robotics Teams and Student Club from 12:40 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
At 2 p.m. inside the Gym, Loretto students, faculty and staff will be treated to a Lockheed Martin interactive presentation, a Q&A session, a donation check presentation and a branded t-shirt.
