Locomotive FC opts to play first two home games without fans in attendance

Monday afternoon, El Paso Locomotive FC officials announced that their first two matches at home would be played without any fans in attendance.

“Due to the ongoing developments revolving around COVID-19 locally and statewide, El Paso Locomotive FC has made the decision to play without fans in attendance for the Saturday, July 11 Return to Play Home Opener vs Rio Grande Valley FC and the Wednesday, July 15 match against New Mexico United,” Locomotive officials shared.

This Saturday’s match will be broadcast on El Paso-Las Cruces CW and nationally on ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday’s match will only be on ESPN+ starting at 8:00 p.m. MT.

“Locomotive FC will continue to diligently monitor the situation and remain in constant communication with health officials as the club moves forward with future home matches and the 2020 season,” club officials added.

Fans may still support El Paso Locomotive FC from home via the Cutout Conductor program, while watching the games on El Paso-Las Cruces CW and ESPN+.
