The Make-A-Wish North Texas El Paso Regional Office will host World Wish Day at El Paso’s new Dave & Buster’s (6101 Gateway Blvd. West) beginning at 5:30 p.m. on April 29, 2016.
To celebrate World Wish Day, the Make-A-Wish El Paso Regional office will gather a group of seven children battling life-threatening medical conditions and their families to have their wishes revealed live at a red carpet-themed event hosted by Dave & Buster’s.
April 29th is World Wish Day, the anniversary of the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish in 1980 with a 7-year-old boy named Chris Greicius who battled leukemia. His one dream was to be a policeman, so he was sworn in as an honorary officer, making his wish come true.
From his one wish, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has grown to be the largest wish-granting organization in the world, granting over 240,000 wishes to date.
Make-A-Wish North Texas grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. For more information on Make-A-Wish North Texas, please visit www.ntx.wish.org.
