Marvel Legendary Game Review

Hey y’all, it’s time for another board game blog! Today we’re gonna talk about “Marvel Legendary” by Devin Low and Upper Deck.

Marvel Legendary box

This is a co-op deck building game for 1 to 5 players. In this game you are working together to build a deck of your favorite super heroes like Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, Captain America, and more. All in the attempt to keep the city free of villains, stop the mastermind, and topple his nefarious scheme.

Marvel Legendary cards

Every one starts with the same cards, (Shield Agents) with buy power or (Shield Troopers) with fight. On your turn you play the top card of the villain deck, play cards from your hand, try to fight the bad guys, and buy more powerful hero cards to make your deck stronger on future turns.

Marvel Legendary board

As is typical with co-op games, there are many ways to lose this game. Running out of villain or hero cards, if the scheme succeeds, and more. But if you are powerful enough to hit the mastermind 4 times before the games end, you win!

And as a personal victory, you count up the number of trophy points on the villains you’ve defeated. If you have the highest number, you are the most legendary hero!

This is a great game for fans of collectible card games and drafting games alike, as it is all the fun of building a deck and playing a card game at the same time.

The game retails at $59.99, and comes with 500 cards and the board. There are also a number of great expansions.

I give it 6 out of 6 Adamantium claws.

Until next time, keep playing games true believer!
