UTEP Men’s Golf Ends Up 10th at Western Intercollegiate

The UTEP men’s golf team finished at 53-over par (362-365-376-1,103) to notch a 10th-place showing at the Western Intercollegiate. The Miners fired a final round of 376 (26-over par).

UTEP will be in action next at the Conference USA tournament in Texarkana, Ark., from April 24-27.

Frederik Dreier was UTEP’s top finisher for the seventh time this year tying for 21st place at three-over par (70-73-73-213); he ended the tournament with the most pars collecting 39 in 54 holes.

Andreas Sorenson tied for 42nd (69-72-78-219), Ben Getman tied for 49th (72-74-75-221), Jose Romero tied for 56th (73-79-70-223), Nicklas Pihl placed tied for 62nd (75-76-73-224), Charlie Corner tied for 77th (79-75-77-231) and Prescott Mann tied for 83rd (76-74-83-233).

No. 9 Stanford took the team title at nine-under par (345-347-349-1,041).
