Michael Chertoff, former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security to Speak on Immigration

Monday morning, officials with The Borderplex Alliance announced the start of their 2021 Distinguished Speaker Series with former Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff

“Immigration and the federal policies impacting our borders are among the most critical to our nation. I’m looking forward to exploring these subjects with The Bordreplex Alliance,” Chertoff said.

Organizers share that Chertoff will address immigration reform and highlight policy recommendations outlined in the George W. Bush Institute’s Smart Border Policy For The 21st Century whitepaper.

“Our nation owes Secretary Chertoff a significant debt of gratitude. Secretary Chertoff kept our nation safe after 9/11 and is a voice of wisdom and reason on immigration,” Jon Barela, CEO of The Borderplex Alliance, said.

“We’re looking forward to hearing his insights and are honored to host him for this unique discussion.”

Borderplex officials say space is limited for the talk, scheduled for March 23 at 10 a.m. MT (noon ET), and attendees are encouraged to reserve a spot, via this link.
