Mija, Yes You Can, NAMI of El Paso partner to raise funds for mental health resources

As May is Mental Health Awareness month, officials with Mija, Yes You Can announced that the group is partnering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness of El Paso to raise funds to provide resources for the Borderland.

From now until the end of the month, with every purchase made from the Mijas’, you will receive a free “Be kind to your mind” sticker.

A portion of every purchase will then go to NAMI of El Paso, which will help the nonprofit to continue their work of providing free mental health resources to those in need.

‘Mija, Yes You Can’ founder Iris Lopez has also designed the non-profit’s very own ‘Mija, mental health sticker’ bundle. ALL proceeds from the stickers will be donated to NAMI of El Paso.

Lopez said the bundle is meant to serve as a way to remind women that it’s okay to not be okay.

“During the pandemic many of us struggled with our own mental health issues,” Iris Lopez, Mija, Yes You Can founder said.

“For me personally writing little reminders to myself every morning that I’m enough kept me going. Now I want to be able to help give my own little reminder through these stickers to other women, so they can know that they’re also doing amazing and that they are enough.”

To order ‘Mija’ merchandise go online via mijayesyoucan.org or at the Mija pop-up store located at the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso.
