Miner Masters Golf Tournament Set for next month, Play to benefit UTEP Men’s Golf

The Miner Masters golf tournament is returning to the El Paso Country Club on Monday, August 23.

“We are excited to host this tournament in partnership with our tremendous Century Club board members and donors,” said Nick Popplewell, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. “This will be a great way to help kickoff the 2021-22 academic and athletic year for UTEP. Additionally, the funds generated will aid in our pursuit of Miner men’s golf becoming a perennial top 40 program.”

The presenting sponsor for this year’s Miner Masters is Mediwaste Disposal with American Finance & Investment Co., Inc. and Anderson, Bright & Associates, P.C. serving as supporting sponsors.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the UTEP men’s golf program.

The format is set up as a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 23. Lunch will be provided and participants will have the opportunity to meet the 2021-22 UTEP Men’s Golf team. The top-five finishing teams will receive prizes.
