Miner Men’s Golf Wraps Up Day Two of Marquette Intercollegiate
HARTFORD, WI – The UTEP men’s golf team finished the second day of the Marquette Intercollegiate in 10th place, shooting a second round total of 313 for a tournament total of 28-over 604 (291-313) at Erin Hills Golf Course (par 72/7,722 yards) in Hartford, WI on Monday.
Texas A&M gained control of the field with a second round of 287 for a total of 4-over 580 (293-287). The final day of the Maquette Intercollegiate will begin tomorrow morning.
Aaron Terrazas and Charles Corner remained at the top of the Miner scorecard and within the top-20 of the field, both tying for 12th place with 2-over 146. Terrazas fired a second round of 76, tallying a birdie, while Corner shot 75 today with two birdies.
Terrazas is third in the field on Par 4 scoring with a 3.90 average (-2) while Corner is tied for second in the tournament in pars with 26.
Senior Nicklas Pihl had an unusual off round, shooting 83 today for a tournament total of 12-over 156 (73-83), but collected two birdies on Par 4s. Pihl is currently in a share of 63rd.
Settavut Paradee finished in a tie for 72nd with a day two round of 79 for a 15-over 159 (80-79) total. Rounding out the Miner card is Prescott Mann, who shot a second round of 85 to add to his 18-over 162 (77-85) total for a share of 84th.
