LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fl. – UTEP Women’s Golf completed the third and final round of play at FIU’s Pat Bradley Invitational on Tuesday with the Miners finishing the event in seventh place as a team at the Lakewood Ranch Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
On Tuesday, UTEP mirrored its first-round score of 296 (+8) to finish the week with a three-round total of 882 (296, 290, 296; +18) overall, while Stetson took home the title at 8-under-par for the event.
UTEP wrapped up the tournament 3-over on par three holes, while the Miners were just 1-over on par five holes over the course of the three-day invitational. UTEP totaled 10 birdies as a team at this week’s event.
The Miners were led by Valeria Mendizabal, who has the lowest score of the round for UTEP for the second straight day. Mendizabal shot 69 (-3) in Tuesday’s final round to end the event in fourth place at 8-under-par with a three-round score of 208 (72, 67, 69).
UTEP’s Audrey Haddad closed out the Pat Bradley Invitational tied for 15th after finishing 1-over-par with a total score of 217 (69, 72, 76) this week in Florida.
Sophie Delfosse wrapped up play just three shots behind Haddad at 4-over for the week with a three-round total of 220 (76, 73, 71) after showing improvement in each round of the event. Andrea Ostos (82, 78, 80; +24) and Taylor Stone (79, 80, 82; +25) closed out the third round by finishing back-to-back with score totals of 240 and 241, respectively.
UTEP is set to close out the fall season next week when the Miners travel to compete in the Little Rock Classic on Oct. 27-29 in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
