Miners finish 15th in Tucker Invitational

Albuquerque, N.M.- The UTEP men’s golf team shot a final round 19-over par 307 to finish the William H. Tucker Invitational in 15th place at 52-over par (307-302-307-916).

Frederik Dreier carded a final round score of even par to finish at four-over par for the whole tournament (74-74-72-220). The junior’s final round consisted of two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys.

Andreas Sorenson finished tied for 49th in his first collegiate tournament at 11-over par (77-72-78-227). Prescott Mann finished tied for 85th place at 20-over par (80-77-79-236).

Nicklas Pihl ended up tied for 87th at 21-over  par with rounds of 78, 81, 78 to finish with a total of 237. Ben Getman rounded out the performance for the Orange and Blue with a 95th place showing at 26-over par (78-79-85-242).

Evan Macias, who was competing as an individual, place tied for 47th at 10-over par (74-73-79-226).

UTEP will next compete in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate (Oct. 19-20) in Las Cruces, N.M.
