Photos+Story: Montecillo Announces New Four-Acre Resort Clubhouse, Event Center

Montecillo, El Paso’s first smart growth community, has announced the construction of Resort at Montecillo, a four-acre resort area to include a resident clubhouse, resort style water attractions, event center and more.

The Resort at Montecillo will provide residents and their guests with a unique and exclusive resort experience. The project includes a Resident Clubhouse with top of the line amenities such as a business center, state of the art fitness facilities, separate aerobic and yoga rooms, a teaching kitchen which will offer free cooking lessons, a bar area, concierge desk, and private lounge areas.

Residents of Montecillo will be able to enjoy resort style water attractions which will include a lazy river pool, a beach entry resort pool, a children’s splash pad, private cabanas, an outdoor movie screen, outdoor bars with poolside food and drink service and 40ft vertical water slides.

The project includes a 400-guest Events Facility that will serve as a special event venue with the capacity to host an array of conventions such as music and public events and will offer full catering. The Events Facility will have capability to scale down to accommodate smaller events. Construction is set to begin in six months.

Located in El Paso’s west side at 5001 N. Mesa Street, Montecillo is designed to offer a mixture of residential living environments blended with entertainment, commercial and retail business opportunities to include TI:ME, a 12,000sq ft. “third place” venue that consists of nine specialty shops and restaurants, all of which are locally owned and operated and Tre, a three story retail space.

Quality of life is at the forefront of this development concept. Our first step toward the 300-acre Montecillo vision, The Venue at Montecillo apartments, began in May 2011 with blended environments featuring first floor retail and upper floor apartment homes.

Since then, Montecillo has debuted additional urban living spaces with The View in 2014, followed by Santi Dwellings, in 2015
