Montwood High School invites 6th-12th grade students, parents in feeder patten to insightful Financial Literacy Night

The Montwood High School DECA chapter invites sixth through 12th grade students in the Montwood feeder area and their parents to a Financial Literacy Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 16 in the school’s cafeteria.

The goal of the event is to equip middle and high school students with the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed financial decisions as they transition into adulthood. It is also an opportunity for students and their parents to have conversations together about financial literacy and planning.

During the Financial Literacy Night, a Raiz Federal Credit Union representative and a knowledgeable Montwood DECA member will deliver engaging presentations on crucial financial topics, including budgeting, savings, credit scores, student debt, and the importance of student debit cards.

The event, which will be led by the Montwood High School DECA students, will feature three breakout sessions and include food and prizes.
