New Artwork Wraps Utility Boxes Around Texas Tech Campus

Thanks to a new art project, a walk around the Texas Tech University campus here in El Paso just got more colorful.  Visitors, students and staff may not notice the new artwork right away, though.

Warren Love, graphic artist for institutional advancement, designed the artwork now appearing on what was once, giant steel utility boxes.  Love’s use of natural patterns, helps the design blend seamlessly with the natural landscape and other pieces of campus artwork such as the Helix Garden.

Officials with TTUHSC El Paso say that more boxes will be covered in the coming weeks.
