New Downtown Mural Showcases Latino Icons

The Downtown Management District (DMD) hosted a Mural Dedication Ceremony of the newest downtown mural adorning the Roderick Artspace Lofts (601 North Oregon) in the Las Plazas Arts District on Wednesday morning.

“The DMD expanded our downtown grant programs for precisely these kinds of projects. It’s important that we as an organization do our part to offer avenues for beautification and expression of our grand borderland culture as it relates to downtown in addition to signage and façade grant programs. We thank the artists and our community partners for their shared vision,” said Joe Gudenrath, Executive Director for the Downtown Management District of El Paso.

The 30 panel mural partially funded by the DMD Downtown Mural Grant Program was installed over the weekend just in time for the monthly Last Thursdays Art Walk.
