Sunland Park and West El Paso residents now have a new, fully equipped volleyball and pickleball sports center thanks to Fiveset Net Sports at 1999 Appaloosa Drive off Sunland Park Drive.
“We wanted to make the premier volleyball and pickleball facility in El Paso and Southern New Mexico,” said Dr. Carmela Morales, Fiveset’s owner. “This facility is built-to-spec and ready to host leagues and tournaments.” Dr. Morales is a longtime volleyball fan and parent to a volleyball player.
Fiveset is a dedicated volleyball and pickleball sports facility full of amenities for players and spectators.
Features include four regulation-sized volleyball courts, two pickleball courts, temperature controlled throughout, a training room,
concessions by Belly’s Snack Shack and an upcoming pro shop.
The center will host several club tournaments, as well as be available to public for play.
Pickleball is relatively new to the El Paso area, but it’s been gaining in popularity throughout the United States over the last ten years.
“I’ve always felt we need more, accessible facilities for net sports, especially on El Paso’s west side,” Dr. Morales said. “We are excited to showcase that our venue can host competitors of all ages.”
Fiveset has plans to expand on its location to include sand volleyball courts.
The facility will be open to public with free volleyball and pickleball clinics on Friday, September 22 and Saturday September 23 and open for regular business September 30th.
