NMSU Alumni Association Seeks Nominations for Distinguished Alums, Service Award

The New Mexico State University Alumni Association is now seeking nominations for the 2017 Distinguished Alumni awards and the James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service.

The Distinguished Alumni award will be presented to one recipient each from the colleges of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Business; Education; Engineering; and Health and Social Services; and one James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service will be given during the 2017 Homecoming celebration.

The Distinguished Alumni awards, established in 1956, recognize living NMSU alumni who have achieved national or international distinction through their accomplishments and leadership. To be considered, nominees must be a graduate of NMSU and available to attend Homecoming events during the fall of 2017. In addition to achieving distinction in their business or professional lives, nominees must have performed specific, meritorious service that reflects the quality and advancement of NMSU.

The James F. Cole Memorial Award for Service, established in 1966, recognizes those who have shown progressive support to NMSU, dedicated involvement with NMSU, impactful civic and humanitarian service at NMSU and within the communities around them, and notable professional service.

Nominations from the past two years will be considered; however, the nominator must resubmit their request through the nomination form, which is available online at advancing.nmsu.edu/alumni-awardsandprograms.

Completed application and supporting documents can be emailed to alumni@nmsu.edu or mailed to NMSU Alumni Association, P.O. Box 3590 Las Cruces, NM 88003, prior to April 7.
