Officials with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department announced that starting this Sunday, April 4, the hours for Scenic Sundays have been changed.
According to a news release, pedestrians may access the area from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the spring and summer season.
“Scenic Sundays serves as a way for people to live active and is a great opportunity for the community to enjoy free, outdoor activities that promote better health and wellness,” Parks and Rec officials shared.
Every Sunday morning, Scenic Drive between Wheeling and Robinson closes to vehicles, allowing visitors to walk, run, cycle or skateboard, while enjoying the stunning views of El Paso and Juarez, Mexico.
Parks and Rec officials also a remind the community to follow all COVID-19 health and safety guidelines including wearing a face covering and physical distancing.
