Parks and Recreation Department continues Virtual Concert Series

Following a highly popular Virtual Summer Concert Series, the Parks and Recreation Department is continuing its Virtual Concerts in September.

The virtual concerts are streamed live every Friday evening on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

A special, extended concert, “16 de Septiembre Celebration”, that recognizes Mexican Independence Day, is part of the line-up.

The September line-up and schedule is as follows:

  • September 11, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Siluetas Band,
  • September 16, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. – 16 de Septiembre Celebration featuring Mariachi Alegre, Ballet Folklorico Quetzales, Ballet Folklorico Orgullo De Mi Tierra, Siluetas Band
  • September 18, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Brandon Johnson and Family
  • September 25, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Ballet Folklorico, Paso del Norte Churuhui

The Virtual Concert Series comes from adapting to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines and still being able to provide the community quality entertainment that can be enjoyed right from home.

Information on virtual events put together by the Parks and Recreation Department is available on Facebook and Twitter.
