Parks and Recreation to Host Grandpa, Grandma, and Me Tardeada Dance

As part of National Parks and Recreation Month, the Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Grandpa, Grandma, and Me Intergenerational Tardeada dance.

The free event is one of several events held during National Parks and Recreation Month. The dance will focus on three or more generations of families coming together for a night of dancing and fun.

Free pizza will be available to the first 100 people and there will be contests and prizes such as the grandparents with most grandchildren, the grandpa and grandma who look the most alike and the youngest and the oldest grandchildren.

Parks and Recreation Month is an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) that encourages people to explore A Lifetime of Discovery at area Parks and Recreation centers.

The dance is scheduled for at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, at the Pavo Real Senior Center, located at 9311 Alameda.

For more information on this event, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (915) 860-9131 or visit the Parks and Rec Website.
