The Paso del Norte Community Foundation is pleased to announce the six nonprofit organizations that will participate in the inaugural Gator Tank pitch competition.
The six nonprofits are The Arc El Paso, Books are Gems, Borderland Rainbow Center, Harmonious Home, Insights Science Center El Paso and Justice for Our Neighbors.
“We are extremely excited and proud to announce the six nonprofit organizations that will participate in the PdNCF’s first Gator Tank pitch competition,” said Andrea Macias, Paso del Norte Community Foundation Development Coordinator. “Gator Tank offers these nonprofits key trainings and a chance to gain resources needed to support their missions of bettering our community.”
These vital community organizations will be the first class to participate in Gator Tank – a partnership between the Paso del Norte Community Foundation and Microsoft.
Gator Tank is a program created to aid local nonprofit organizations grow through trainings and provides opportunities to build capital from local investors that help expand their nonprofit organizations.
The program is a unique fundraising model bringing together nonprofit organizations, mentors and funders to think creatively and strategically in the hopes of winning monetary prizes and expanding their impact within our shared communities.
Gator Tank takes place July 13, 2022, through October 13, 2022, with training and support providing by various mentors on topics ranging from The Art of Pitching, Defining Your Fundraising Cycle and What Funders are Looking For.
The six nonprofits will then submit their final pitch presentation and plan before making their in-person pitch on October 13th for the chance to win monetary prizes.
