To help area nonprofits and organizations understand and receive funding, the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) will be hosting a free, virtual Grant Writing Series later this month.
“For many nonprofit organizations, grants from various foundations and other funding organizations are the lifeline to their programs or service,” PdNCF officials share. “It is the work of the grant writer that provides the largest most consistent support of funding for many nonprofit organizations.”
The Virtual Grant Writing for Grassroots Series will share the do’s and don’ts of grant writing.
The session will feature guest speaker Kristen Hernandez-Ortega. She received her Bachelor of Health Promotion and Master of Public Health from UTEP.
In 2019, she volunteered with the Moms on Board of El Paso (MOB) project and currently provides grant writing services, helping raise more than $345,000 in grants and other funds toward the Ascarate All-Abilities Playground signature project.
Registration is free and open to nonprofit professionals of all backgrounds and expertise, however space is limited. Register via this link.
