Animal Services Pet of the Week: Momma

This cute female Terrier Mix is named “Momma.” She came into the shelter earlier this month.

Momma appears to have recently had a litter of puppies but did not arrive to the shelter with any of her fur babies. Since she was producing milk, staff introduced her to a litter of shelter puppies that had no mother. The dogs hit it off and Momma ended up nursing the puppies without any issues.

Those puppies have recently been adopted but Momma was not; she now needs a home of her own. A special adoption fee of $30 has been set for Momma. This price includes her microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure and license.

If readers are interested in adopting Momma, they should visit the Animal Services Shelter in person at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue. To find out about her availability readers can call (915) 842-1000.

Also, last week’s Pet of the Week Elaine, is still available for adoption
