Pets look to “Find Love Online” with Virtual Adoption Event
Beginning Thursday, May 28, El Paso shelter pets will be counting on social media and the web to help them find their new homes as part of Animal Services’ first-ever virtual adoption event, “Find Love Online.”
Animal Services will also be highlighting many of their foster pets who are now up for adoption. Videos and photos of these pets will be posted on Animal Services’ Facebook and Instagram page.
All adoptions will be free and each adoption will include the pet’s spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license.
Since the Animal Services Center remains closed, potential adopters will need to visit the department’s website to browse adoptable pets.
Officials say for residents to adopt, they need to select at least two animals listed on the website before calling the adoption hotline at (915) 212-8705.
If the pets are still available, adoption counseling will be done over the phone and a delivery date will be scheduled, finalizing the adoption.
The adoption hotline will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the adoption event.
The “Find Love Online” adoption event runs through Saturday, May 30.
