Scheduled to coincide with the annual month-long Pride celebration, the conversation introduces the topic of the media’s portrayal of the LGBTQIA+ community, their experiences, and how homophobia and transphobia continue to oppress them.

The PPGT Unpacking the Headlines: Queer Media discussion is on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. MDT.  RSVP is required by clicking here.

PPGT Black Women Stereotypes & Health Impacts event

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas will host a conversation entitled Black Women Stereotypes & Health Impacts on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 4:30 PM MDT via Zoom.

Scheduled to coincide with Juneteenth, the holiday which commemorates the day in 1865 on which previously enslaved persons in Texas finally learned about the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, this discussion will take on special significance this year.

The workshop discusses the history and the current lack of healthcare in minority communities and invites people of color to share their experiences.
