Friday afternoon, officials with the City of El Paso invited the public to a virtual workshop for the design of the Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC), set for next week.
The voter-approved Mexican American Cultural Center is a signature project of the 2012 Quality of Life Bond program.
“The MACC will provide residents and visitors a dynamic space for the creation, exhibition and celebration of Mexican American art and culture,” officials shared.
The session will enable the public to collaborate with the design team in the development of the project by exploring design ideas, city officials shared via a news release.
“Design work for the MACC will proceed until completed. Because of the impact of COVID-19 the construction phase will be deferred.”
City officials add that the project is part of the City of El Paso’s commitment to enhance the quality of life for residents, business and visitors.
