Raben Group adds El Paso native as Communications Expert for Texas Office

The Raben Group, a national public policy and strategic communications firm, announced Wednesday that Ileana Martínez has joined the firm’s Texas office.

“The Raben Group is widely recognized in our community and in the nation as one of the top public affairs and strategic communications firms,” said Martínez. “The opportunity to be working with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals is an achievement of its own and I look forward to providing clients with my expertise on how to amplify their voices in our community.”

Before joining Raben as a senior associate in the media & communications practice area, Martínez was the chief marketing and communications officer for Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest, where she managed all internal and external communications, messaging, social media and member engagement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from New Mexico State University.

Raben Group representatives say that Martinez’s marketing and communications expertise are already helping the firm expand its offerings and adding additional value to the important work of its clients.

“Ileana brings a creative and audacious spirit to our team, and we know she will help elevate the incredible work our clients in Texas are doing,” said Laura Rodríguez, Founding Principal and El Paso native. “From workforce development to education and beyond, our clients make meaningful and lasting impact on some of the most challenging issues faced by the Lone Star State.”

Rodríguez and Principal Scott Heidegger opened Raben’s Texas office five years ago.

Raben’s Texas office advises and supports leading local and national organizations, including the Council on Regional Economic Expansion and Educational Development (CREEED); Hispanics in Philanthropy; United Way of El Paso County; and the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation.

“I’m so pleased Ileana chose to join us. She brings precisely the talents we need to serve our clients during this unprecedented time,” said firm President and Founder Robert Raben.

“The incredible team we have in Texas continues to expertly guide our clients with the strategic, communications, and advocacy support needed to meet their ambitious goals. I am so glad we are growing our presence in this crucial state.”

The office is supported locally by four full-time staff and a consultant, as well as staff across the nation. The firm also has representation in Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; and Nashville, TN.
