Rainiers Hold off Chihuahuas in Tacoma, Win 5 to 4

The Chihuahuas led Game 2 by three runs in the top of the fourth inning but Tacoma scored four in the bottom of the fourth to go ahead and the Rainiers’ bullpen kept them ahead for good, holding El Paso without any runs in the final three innings.

The Chihuahuas had a nine-batter fourth, with RBIs coming on a sacrifice fly by Taylor Lindsey, an RBI single by Margot and a two-run double by Auston Bousefield. Tacoma’s four-run fourth brought eight hitters to the plate.

Bryan Rodriguez suffered the loss in his first game off the disabled list. The Chihuahuas have split all four doubleheaders they’ve played in 2016.
