They unarmed the Snipers and weathered the Avalanche on their home ice and now, our Rhinos are ready for more.
The El Paso Rhinos continue to charge past the competition and remain unscathed at home in the Western States Hockey League, posting an impressive 13-2 record and a six-game home win streak.
Now, El Pasoans can see the Rhinos in action as they face the Wichita Jr. Thunder (7-6-2) in a three-game home series at the El Paso County Coliseum Special Events Center, 4100 E. Paisano.
El Paso plays in the Mid-Western Division of the WSHL, along with the Springfield Express, Tulsa Jr. Oilers, Oklahoma City Blazers, Wichita Jr. Thunder and Dallas Snipers. The WSHL, an Amateur Athletic Union-sanctioned Tier II Junior A ice hockey league, features 28 teams split into four divisions: Western, Northwestern, Mountain and Mid-Western. The top six teams from each division qualify for the playoffs.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, $10 for Grey Section seats, $15 for Orange Section seats, $20 for Glass Section seats and free for military with ID.
The games are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19, and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20.
