Salt Lake Tops Chihuahuas Once Again 5-2

The El Paso Chihuahuas scored two late runs but fell to the Salt Lake Bees 5-2 Friday night.

Salt Lake starter Austin Robichaux pitched six shutout innings for Salt Lake to get his first Triple-A win. The first place Bees have won the first two games of the series.

One night after scoring 10 runs on 14 hits, the Chihuahuas weren’t able to get their bats going. Robichaux faced the minimum through five innings and the Chihuahuas did not have a runner reach second base until the sixth.

El Paso’s runs came on a seventh-inning RBI single by Christian Villanueva and a solo home run by Dusty Coleman in the eighth, his seventh homer of the season, with six coming at Southwest University Park.
