Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders will hold a rally in Vado, New Mexico this weekend.
According to Sanders’ campaign website, the event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday at Vado Elementary School (330 Holguin Rd) The event is free and open to the public, however the website states, ” RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Admission is first come, first served.”
On Tuesday, Sanders was declared the winner of the Democratic Party primary in Oregon. “This is the beginning of the final push to win California,” Sanders told a rally of 11,168 supporters at California State University, Dominguez Hills. “There are a lot of people out there who say Bernie Sanders should drop out, the people of California should not have the right to determine who the next president will be,” he said. “We are in this until the last ballot.”
The 2016 New Mexico primaries will be held on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016.
As for attending the Vado rally, campaign officials ask those who will be attending to follow security protocol and not bring bags, and limit what they bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. They add that weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security.
Street parking available on-site. Entrance to the event is on Holguin Road, near the school’s bus drop off location.
