Senator Cornyn Issues Statement on Administration Repealing Obama EPA Regulations

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after President Trump signed an executive order repealing the job-killing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations put in place by the Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan:

“For eight years the Obama Administration’s draconian regulatory regime hindered job growth and hit Texans at the pump and on their utility bills.

Rolling back the Obama Administration’s unnecessary, job-killing, and oppressive EPA regulations is another promise kept by this President.”

“I’m glad President Trump continues to prioritize job creation over catering to environmental activists, and I look forward to working with him to harness our state’s energy potential for the benefit of the entire nation.”

  1. Great for the Jackass John Cornyn calling president Obama a job killing regime! since Climate Change is only a Chinese Hoax! Lets see what’s in store for the BIG RED STATE of texas? hmmm???
How about more Earthquakes for fracking around the dallas area and include odessa and other parts of west texas. Tornadoes like the ones they had in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago but more powerful like F 2’s
F3’s F4’s and some F5’s texas size Tornadoes. Then hurricanes on the Gulf Coast but huge hurricanes like category 3’s 4’s and 5’s. Rising sea levels where Galveston,Port Arthur,Corpus Christi, Brownsville and Beaumont will join the lost city of Atlantis.
You think that climate change ain’t no big deal, throw in some droughts as well;the only job creation that donald trump can create is starting WWIII. Then telling Russia to help us all.

  2. A real leader would have made the case using facts, not baseless statements. Senator, if you know the facts, the rational, the data, say it or shut up; we already have more than enough fake news to go around.

  3. Hopefully the ground breaks beneath him and swallows him whole from a major earthquake that was caused by fracking for oil.
