‘Shirts for Sharity’ fundraiser for Local Nonprofits Kicksoff

“Shirts for Sharity” is a Proper Printshop project that matches great Designers with local Nonprofits to create a cool, new t-shirt design each month. The shirts will be sold to raise money for the selected organization.

From the $20 price tag, $15 goes directly to the chosen Nonprofit; a new Nonprofit will be selected every month.

The first recipient of “Shirts for Sharity” will be The Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso, who celebrates 20 years of operation this year.  April is also Child Abuse Prevention Month. The shirts will debut at the 20th Anniversary Celebration for The Advocacy Center for the Children of El Paso,  on April 13, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.  Nolan Richardson will be the keynote speaker.

courage“April is a time to celebrate the important role that communities play in protecting children and strengthening families,” said Susan H. Oliva, Executive Director of ACCEP. “Everyone’s participation is critical. Focusing on ways to connect with families is the best thing our community can do to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect. It takes courage for everyone involved in a child abuse case to come forward, especially the victims.”

Gino Madrid is the designer behind the first Shirt for Sharity.  The word “Courage” is displayed across a super soft heather royal blue shirt.  A handprint impresses the “O” in “Courage” to denote the children who are impacted by the ACCEP’s services.

The shirts will be available for sale at Proper Printshop, 800 Montana Ave. El Paso, TX 79902 or on their website www.theproperprintshop.com
