Volunteers Collecting Shoes for Southside Monastery

A group of volunteers are collecting used “gently” worn shoes for the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (145 N. Cotton.)

The shoes collected will be sent to developing countries, and in turn the Sisters will receive $.40 per pound. The funds will go towards the purchase of a street sign for the Monastery in busy south side El Paso.

The goal is 7,500 pairs of shoes for any gender, size or season.

For further information, please contact Norma Talamantes @ 915-525-3799.

Information about Sisters of Perpetual Adoration:

The chapel doors are open after the 6:30 AM Mass – Monday through Saturday – to encourage Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and remain open until 6:15 PM. Sunday Mass is at 7:30 AM, and the chapel doors stay open until 6:15 PM.

Donations are gratefully accepted, as the cloistered nuns live entirely on Divine Providence. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday, 9:15 AM to 12:00 Pm, and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
