Popular rapper Snoop Dogg, known as DJ Snoopadelic, was unable to attend the Texas Showdown Festival due to unforeseen circumstances, the promoter announced late Friday.
According to George Galindo, founder and CEO of the festival, plans to reschedule the concert are in the works, and those fans who purchased wristbands for the opening night of the event at the El Paso County Coliseum, 4100 E. Paisano, will be able to use those same wristbands for entry into the rescheduled concert.
The festival, however, continues through the weekend Sept. 24-25 and will feature a variety of entertainment, music, food, beverages, sideshows, hundreds of vendors, human suspensions shows and more. And, above it all, hundreds of tattoo artists will take over the floor of the Coliseum.
The Texas Showdown Festival gets underway at noon each day. Tickets, which cost $40 daily, are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
