Socorro ISD officials announced Tuesday that, in partnership with the City of El Paso, they will be providing second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for those individuals who received a first dose at various SISD schools in July.
For the first dose COVID-19 vaccines provided the week of July 19 at William D. Slider Middle School, SPC. Rafael Hernando III Middle School, Eastlake High School and Hurshel Antwine Middle School, the second dose vaccine opportunity will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 at the SISD Police Services, 1180 Joe Battle.
For the first dose COVID-19 vaccines provided the week of July 26 at Ensor Middle School, Ernesto Serna School, John Drugan School, Bill Sybert School, Desert Wind School, Americas High School, and the Student Activities Complex (SAC), the second dose vaccine opportunity will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 28 at the SISD Police Services, 1180 Joe Battle.
The second dose vaccines will be provided via a drive-through service on both dates.
COVID-19 booster doses now available through Immunize El Paso
Immunize El Paso is providing first, second and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone over the age of 12 in the community may receive the first and second dose vaccines and the booster doses are for immunocompromised patients.

SISD, Immunize El Paso to provide COVID-19 & flu vaccines at schools throughout district
The Socorro Independent School District, in partnership with Immunize El Paso, will provide COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinics at various schools and facilities throughout the district in September and October.

SISD Employee Health Clinic administering Moderna and Pfizer vaccines on walk-in basis
The Socorro Independent School District is committed to providing the COVID-19 vaccination to individuals who wish to receive the vaccine as part of efforts to help Keep SISD Safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The SISD Employee Health Clinic has received additional Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, which can be administered to adults and children above the age of 12. The clinic also has Moderna COVID-19 vaccines available. No appointment is needed, and walk-ins are encouraged now through the month of August. No insurance is needed.
In addition, the clinic will be providing booster Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to those in need. If the employee or family members meet the criteria to receive a booster COVID-19 vaccine, they may call to schedule an appointment.
The SISD Employee Health Clinic also will have a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Aug. 21. First, second and booster doses will be available. Appointments are necessary. Please call 915-937-2750 to make an appointment.
