Socorro ISD to Host First-Ever College, Career and Job Expo Saturday

The College, Career and Job Expo will provide students ages 16 to 21 in Socorro Independent School District information about a post-secondary education and the opportunity to learn about skill requirements and qualifications for future careers.

Team SISD students will have the opportunity to speak with college and technical school representatives at the event to explore future careers opportunities available to them.

In addition, business and local industry partners will participate in the expo to share information about the education and skills necessary for those careers. Students will have the opportunity to interview with potential employers for summer jobs and internship opportunities.

District and school staff will be available for questions regarding college and career preparations. Refreshments for representatives will be provided by Montwood High School Culinary Arts students.

When:             Saturday, May 7, 2016    8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
