Team SISD is inviting parents, students and community members to the 2015 SISD Open House community meetings. This is the fourth year of the Open House events, which are great opportunities for parents to visit with principals, school and district staff and learn more about how to help their children excel in school.
The Open House events will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at each high school in SISD. The events will be:
- Sept. 2 for the Americas area
- Sept. 3 for the Socorro area
- Sept. 8 for the Eastlake area
- Sept. 10 for the Pebble Hills area
- Sept. 16 for the El Dorado area
Superintendent Dr. José Espinoza will be the keynote speaker at each Open House and special presentations will be offered for parents of elementary students and secondary students (middle and high school).
In addition, informational tables will be available for parents to receive resources and learn about an array of topics, including K-12 Anonymous Alerts, cyberbullying, financial aid, HB5 requirements, fingerprinting for children by SISD Police Services, flu shots and immunizations by Immunize El Paso, parent portal, social media, career and technical education, athletics, fine arts, special education and bilingual education.
