Socorro ISD Opens Cell Phone Photography Exhibit

The photography work of Socorro Independent School District employees and students will be showcased at the first-ever “Print Those Pics” cell phone photography exhibit.

“We wanted to show the world what kind of photographers we have in Team SISD,” said Macka L. Jones, visual arts specialist in SISD’s Fine Arts Department.

“We had a lot of entries, almost 200. People really were excited about the contest, ” Jones added.

The exhibit will feature pictures taken by Team SISD employees and current students over the summer.

Awards will be presented to three adults and six student winners.

The opening reception and awards ceremony will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the District Service Center.
