Socorro ISD updates COVID-19 vaccine clinics for community

Socorro ISD has made COVID-19 vaccines available to students, employees, and community members through the SISD Employee Health Clinic and through partnerships with Immunize El Paso and other community agencies.

“SISD will continue to provide vaccine clinics as the vaccinations are available and information on community vaccine distribution sites to ensure individuals who wish to get the shot have an opportunity to do so,” district officials said.

“The Socorro Independent School District is committed to providing the COVID-19 vaccination to individuals who wish to receive the vaccine as part of efforts to help Keep SISD Safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”

In addition to the clinics, SISD high school students in Career and Technical Education audio-video production classes participated in a contest to produce a public service announcement about COVID-19 vaccines.

The first-place winner was Americas High School and the second-place winner was Socorro High School. Both videos were excellent PSAs and they were combined to create this one announcement to inform the public more about COVID-19 vaccines.
