STTE/CREEED announces nomination period open for 2021 Educator Awards

Officials with the Success Through Technology Education (STTE) Foundation and The Council on Regional Economic Expansion and Educational Development (CREEED) are calling on the community to nominate excellent teachers in the El Paso region for 2021.

The 2021 STTE/CREEED Educator Awards Show is a recognition of the region’s top educators, as nominated by the public.

“Through virtual learning and modified classroom settings that were caused by the ongoing pandemic, teachers have continued to display leadership and creativity in their classes to ensure their students remain engaged, learning, and excited for school,” officials shared.

By submitting an online 200-word essay, students, parents, and fellow teachers are encouraged to nominate outstanding educators
who have made a difference this year in eight different categories.

The categories include:

● Technology Cultivator
● STEAM Creator
● Math Architect
● Entrepreneurship Producer
● Education Leadership
● Regional Innovator
● Inspirational Pathway
● Outstanding School Achievement

Organizers add that, normally recognized during a live awards dinner and program, this year’s Educator Awards winners will be announced during a half-hour awards show that will air at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 on KVIA-TV, and livestreamed on STTE’s SayWhat.TV online channel.
