Tuesday morning, officials with the STTE Foundation announced the launch of their STTE Foundation E-Series, their free, virtual panel discussions with leaders around education, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
Officials share that the virtual panels will examine strategies to consider as we work together to achieve successful outcomes for our students, employers, and support our region’s economic recovery.
On August 13, at 12:00 PM MST, the first virtual panel will be held, “Reimagine Learning: Education solutions in a remote learning environment.”
“This exciting panel will discuss how we come together to reimagine learning,” STTE officials said. “Moderated by Mara Matosic, angel investor, entrepreneur, actress, and STTE Board Member, panelists will also examine differences in quality of distance learning and challenges facing students, teachers, and families as we begin the next school year.”
Faced with critical decisions to make as we move forward amid a pandemic, panel members will discuss new challenges facing our education system and offer education solutions to support student’s success.
“The shifts we are seeing during the pandemic reinforce the value investment in building digital literacy, STEM education, and entrepreneurship support strategies,” officials add.
The panel will include Dr. Beth-Brunk Chavez, UTEP Dean of Extended University, Dr. Sherry Kollmann, NMSU, Vice Provost, Digital Learning Initiatives, and Noah Carp, Finance and EdTech Executive from Boston Massachusetts.
As seating is limited, attendees are asked to register via this link.
