Study: El Paso among Top 20 Most Livable Cities in the Nation
According to a recent study by SmartAsset, a financial technology company, the City of El Paso has been recognized as on the nation’s most-livable cities in the U.S.
“It should come as no surprise to any El Paso resident that our City is a wonderful place to live,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “Our low cost of living, excellent workforce, our ranking as one of the safest cities, and more importantly our people—our friends and neighbors—makes us an ideal place for anyone to fall in love with our City.”
“This recognition is one more example that El Paso is a destination city for businesses and families as we have continued to see with this year’s recent news from Amazon and TJX Companies,” said Mayor Dee Margo.
The financial planning website analyzed 100 of the largest cities in the country and ranked El Paso as 18th in the study based on several metrics, including walkability, unemployment, crime and home affordability.
El Paso was among three other Texas cities – Laredo, Irving and Plano – to make the list.
