Scores of kids, tweens, teens and their parents will converge on Ascarate Park for this weekend’s Sun City Splash & Dash.

Participants will begin with the swim portion of the event in Ascarate Pool. They’ll then go to the transition area, where they’ll put on their running shoes and running gear and proceed onto the run portion of the event, which will then take participants on a run around Ascarate Lake.
Officials say that Sun City Splash & Dash is a USA Triathlon-sanctioned event and it adheres to USA Triathlon rules.
• run bib (to be worn on the front of the participant’s shirt during the run)
