On Wednesday, Sun Metro announced four new routes in an effort to give El Pasoans even more commuting options and ease congestion related to the construction of GO 10 along I-10 and the Border Highway West extension.
Commuters can avoid the frustration of dealing with traffic by taking advantage of Sun Metro’s award-winning service.
These new routes, some serviced by transit vans which look like small buses, make it easy for passengers living on the Westside to connect to Brio and other parts of town.
The new routes are:
Route 90 – Westside/Eastside Express
This express route features limited stops and free parking for quicker service between the Westside Transfer Center located at 7535 Remcon and the Eastside Transfer Center located at 1165 Sunmount (next to Cielo Vista Mall). Besides the two transfer centers, Route 90 will also stop at Harvest Christian Center for passengers living in the area.
Route 91 – Bartlett/Centennial Circulator
Route 91 offers service from the Westside Transfer Center to the Bartlett/Bishop Flores area. This new route will implement a “flag-down” service at safe intersections and mid-block for pick-up and drop-off.
Route 92 – Resler/Loma de Cristo Circulator
Route 92 is a new circulator offering service from the Brio station on Mesa & Resler through the Belvidere, Via Descanso and Brisa Del Mar area. This new route will implement a “flag-down” service at safe intersections and mid-block for pick-up and drop-off.
Route 93 – Thunderbird Circulator
This new circulator runs from the Brio station on Mesa & Balboa through the Thunderbird/Bandolero/Broadmoor area. This new route implements a “flag-down” service at safe intersections and mid-block for pick-up and drop-off.
The standard fares apply. For more information about the hours for each route visit Sun Metro at sunmetro.net or call(915)212-3333.
