Three local El Paso nonprofits received awards during The Sundt Foundation‘s current round of giving.
“Sundt El Paso is proud to support local organizations like Children at Risk,” said Joseph Riccillo, the Sundt Foundation’s Vice President and El Paso Project Director for the company’s building group.
“It is deeply gratifying to be able to give to those in need in our community, and we were pleased to be able to lend support to these organizations and their missions.”
Each of the following organizations received a grant in the amount of $2,500.
Guiding Star El Paso provides material assistance to families in need by offering medical and social services for disadvantaged women in unplanned pregnancies.
El Paso Center for Children provides shelter, counseling, outreach to families, young adults, and children who are homeless or in need.
Children at Risk works with local officials to end trafficking in the El Paso region through training volunteers to work with Cyber Patrols, strengthening local coalitions, gathering data from online trafficking and collaborating with local nonprofits.
The Foundation awards quarterly grants to El Paso-area charities that support disadvantaged children and families.
Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.
