The Washington Prime Group, owner of Sunland Park Mall, has partnered with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank to set-up a drive-thru Mega Pantry Distribution site at its West El Paso location at 750 Sunland Park Drive.
Officials say they will begin distributing food on Friday, April 10, 2020.
“In the midst of an unprecedented health situation, more thank ever, Sunland Park Mall is embracing its role as a community partner by finding unique ways to transform its space for social good. Working with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger is one way that Sunland Park can show its support for the local community during this time,” said General Manager, Kelley Baker.
Since transitioning to a drive-thru distribution model on March 17, 2020, EPFH has given out 60,490 emergency food boxes to families and individuals who are in need of food assistance.
The food bank is focusing its initial response on vulnerable senior citizens, families and individuals who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
