Whether you call it “mini-golf,” “putt-putt” or “miniature golf,” it’s an activity with mental, physical and social benefits.
According to the Wall Street Journal, researchers asserted that golf is such an enjoyable game to so many, that even when significant memory is lost in the later stages of Alzheimer’s, the ability to remember playing golf is not.
With that in mind, the memory care experts at SunRidge at Desert Springs installed a five-hole, miniature golf course for residents, families and guests to enjoy.
Febe Levy, Regional Marketing Director stated, “We are thrilled to make this available to our residents. Mini-golf is relaxing, challenging and enjoyable for all ages and skill levels. Merging the elements of fresh air and sunshine with the additional benefits of exercise and socialization creates a winning recipe for overall health.”
SunRidge at Desert Springs (5901 Bandolero Drive) is a dedicated memory care community in West El Paso. SunRidge – is one of four in the SunRidge Senior Living group – is the largest senior living provider in West Texas and western New Mexico.
